About Fat-Stem
Fat Stem provides a service to veterinarians in the field of regenerative medecin , cell and tissue banking as well as manufacturing of cell lines under GMP conditions for therapeutical purpose. Fat stem is the only company providing veterinarian support in this area with clinical evidence based protocols in animals.
Fat-Stem is also active in Research & Development looking into new applcations for our vets and the owners of horses, small animals as well as in research consortia together with Universities, veterinarian clinics and Hospitals and other biotech companies.
Fat-Stems lab is located in Belgium near Antwerp University and has an extensive network in stem cell technology centers with a close collaboration with University of Antwerp.and is associated with ...different European partners which gives us the unique capability to bring new products from the lab into the veterinarian clinics.
Dr. Guy Wouters is biotechnologist and Guest Docent in cryobiology at University Antwerp. He published in different journals on molecular biology and stem cell technology. He has a master in Cellular Therapy and is involved in different funded project in which the EU Crystal project is focusing on the cryopreservation of stem cells for clinical use.
As Research and Development director of the Cryo-Save Group biggest Cord Blood Bank in Europe- he has special interst in the cell production and differentiation possibilities of mesenchymal and hematopoetic stem cells and the related banking systems for cells and tissue. Read more
